ICAP and NZCX
Building on ICAP's success in the European and US emissions markets, ICAP was keen to expand these services to New Zealand.
Recognising that the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme is significantly different from the EU ETS in respect of sectoral coverage and price controls ICAP sought out local expertise.
In 2011 ICAP chose to team up with NZCX to provide robust emissions trading services to corporate and industrial clients participating in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZETS).
