About Us

ICAP-NZCX is a joint venture between ICAP New Zealand Limited (ICAP), a member of the ICAP Group, a FTSE 100 company and New Zealand Carbon Exchange Limited (NZCX).

Introduction

ICAP and NZCX joined forces in 2011 following a careful evaluation of the necessary expertise and trading infrastructure systems required to provide robust emissions trading services to corporate and industrial clients participating in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme (NZETS).

All trades are processed by ICAP's Wellington trading room which has the infrastructure and compliance processes in place as per its established trading services across; Government Bonds, Treasury Bills, Bank Bills, Interest Rate Swaps, Forward Rate Agreements, Options and Forward Foreign Exchange.

The emissions trading activity is supported locally by the expertise and experience of NZCX and internationally by the ICAP Group.

Our Services

ICAP-NZCX restricts itself to providing transaction services. It does not provide advisory services nor does it take a trading position for its own account.

This approach enables ICAP-NZCX to remain neutral when facilitating transactions, avoiding the conflicts of interest that may otherwise arise by potentially trading against clients.

ICAP-NZCX is focused on meeting the trading needs of corporate / wholesale clients - transaction size of 5000+ units. [+] More
